2025 YAL

I’m doing the Stephen West Yarn-A-Long again this year. I always tell myself I’m not going to, and then he shares the mood board and theme and I can’t resist.

For those new to this, a Yarn-A-Long is a three month subscription. Each month you get a box of yarn dyed specifically for the surprise pattern. You don’t know colors or patterns ahead of time, you just get hints and mood boards.

This years theme is Camp Craft and the focus is on new techniques. I canNOT wait. We usually get the yarn about a month before the pattern, so box one should arrive soon. There is absolutely zero pressure to keep up, or even use the yarn for that pattern. Creativity and changing it up is encouraged.

Last year, I was able to keep pace with the monthly boxes, but my knitting place has slowed down quite a bit now that I’ve got a job and a very mischievous puppy. I also need to organize my leftovers from last year and make sure I have space to wind my yarn.
