My Favorite Kind of Movement

Is no movement. Or almost no movement. I would much rather sit on my couch under a pile of dogs knitting with a comfort show in the background, eating snacks. Or in a comfy chair on the patio in a cabin in the woods with loved ones knitting, drinking some wine, and eating snacks.

In no particular order, these are the elements of my favorite kind of movement

Someone bring me my knitting. I’m stuck

  1. A seat suitable for lounging (soft, cushy, enough room to stretch out, or tuck my legs under)

  2. Knitting projects appropriate for my mood and emotional state

  3. Tasty beverages and snacks

  4. Good Company in the form of actual humans, or a good podcast or comfort show

  5. A snuggly four-legged creature

I like to follow this up with a nap.

Alas, while this is an important part of a balanced and fulfilled life, it is insufficient for building physical longevity. Why hasn’t someone “hacked” this?
