All about Fran
Baby Fran
After a tough few years and a very difficult pet loss, we pulled into the Whole Foods parking lot and saw the Mountain Pet Rescue tent outside a local pet store. We knew immediately we would be going home with a puppy.
I hopped in the pen with two adorable puppies and could not get enough of this funny tiny white dog. We were told she was deaf, but I was unfazed. My husband was far more concerned about potentially bringing a special needs dog home.
Obviously, this dog was the one. We named her Francis after a favorite children’s book character, and she very quickly integrated into our family. Leo found his new friend curious and funny at first, and then exasperating. Fran settled in quickly and started causing chaos immediately.
Fran isn’t difficult because she’s deaf, she’s difficult because she’s incredibly smart, confident, curious, and very capable. She has absolutely zero shame, and loves to show off whatever it is she’s stolen (and she’s stolen a lot).
Stay tuned for Fran shenanigans. There are lots.
